I have spoken with Mr. Carter and we have made some changes regarding behavior in the classroom. I am hoping these changes will help improve the class room in my absence. Mr Perez will be joining us until I return. He was been in Mrs. Austin's class during her absence. The students have met him and understand that he and I are in constant contact and what the expectation is for them.
Many of you have been concerned with work that has been assigned or sent home that is not being collected or returned. I have looked over the assignments and made arrangement for Mr. Perez to deliver the lessons necessary for me to do report cards.
If you have any questions/concerns please email me or better yet use Class Dojo that is the fastest way for me to respond. If you have not joined our class or need the information sent home again please let me know.
I wanted to give you all an update on what is happening with our class. I am still in Jury Duty until at least November 13, 2015. I am here most Fridays (except 11/13). I am hoping that this case will be done on the 13th. I am therefore, with fingers crossed, sending out parent conference slips next week (probably Wednesday 11/4. If I am unable to attend the conference due to court I will notify you the night before. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I don't know a better way.
I am trying to start a blog so that the students can talk to me about what is going on in the classroom while I am out. Please have them create an account so that they can answer the blog each week.
Your child just needs to enter their 10 digit ID number (most have memorized it by now). Use it as both their username and their password. They will then be assigned (or maybe chose) a color and animal as their blogger name. No one will be able to identify who your child is but me (unless they give their blogger name out to others).
